Annual event honors students for notable academic achievement
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., April 26, 2019—Centenary University recognized 24 students for outstanding academic achievement at the annual Honors Convocation, held on April 25 in the George H. Whitney Chapel. The event featured a keynote address from Meghan M. Kolbusch, the valedictorian of Centenary University’s Class of 2018. A double major in history and political and governmental affairs, Kolbusch minored in theater. She is a museum interpretive guide in the educational program at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in Manhattan.

Jordan Greszczak, Outstanding Achievement in Political and Governmental Affairs, for the student with the highest average who demonstrates excellent academic performance in their studies.

Landon Nalavany, Outstanding Achievement in History, awarded to students who demonstrate excellent academic performance in history studies.
Ashley Papazian, Outstanding Achievement in Social Work, presented to students who demonstrate excellent academic performance in social work studies.
Sara A. Schaarschmidt, the Social Media Marketing Innovator Award, presented to a student who has shown initiative, insight, and outstanding skills in the social media marketing field.

Jennifer Fowles, Outstanding Achievement in Social Work, presented to students who demonstrate excellent academic performance in social work studies.

Halle R. Cannon, Outstanding Achievement in Business, which recognizes the recipient of the New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association Honor Society.
Thomas J. Conklin, the Centenary University Criminal Justice Student Achievement Award, presented to the graduating senior with the highest average in criminal justice or sociology who intends on pursuing graduate studies or employment within the criminal justice system.
