Hackettstown, N.J., October 5, 2016 – Centenary University alumnus, Samuel Berthoud, can add business owner to his already long list of accomplishments. The Army veteran and Warren County Sheriff’s Officer recently opened a photo booth business with his two friends and serves as the Chief Marketing Officer. The product that he rents at Eastbound Selfie (Eastboundhub.com) is similar to the old school photo booth with a twist.

“The company provides various props to people who visit the photo booth at a party or event,” says Berthoud. “It actual product, however, also has the capability to upload the photos to various social media sites just like a smart phone would. In addition, the machine will also produce traditional printed photos.”

The Allamuchy native and current resident graduated from Centenary University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After finishing his stint in the United States Army, Berthoud enrolled in a large institution in Texas and then a community college in Iowa before coming home to Warren County and Centenary.

“Centenary University was the perfect fit for me,” says Berthoud. “The student population was exactly the right size and the resources that were available to me were phenomenal. I received a lot of faculty attention, as well as a tremendous amount of support from Margie Pavlichko, Centenary’s Director of Veteran Services. She is extremely dedicated to her job, which, in turn, made it easier for me to focus on what I needed to do to earn my degree.”
